Where It All Began
At Vastuullisuuspankki, we repeatedly noticed the same challenge: SMEs wanted to approach sustainability systematically, but implementing ESG reporting and standards felt complicated, tedious, and sometimes impossible. Something clearer and more practical was needed.
Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to take action. Ilkka had extensive experience building management systems and sustainability processes across industries. Henrik contributed software development expertise and fresh insight into how digitalizing sustainability reporting could genuinely ease daily work. Together, they aimed to combine expert work and software into one clear solution tailored for SMEs.
Toni Järveläinen joined later, bringing long experience helping companies develop sales and customer relationships. Toni understood how crucial systematic sustainability efforts are for competitiveness—and how properly built sustainability can support strategic decisions and stakeholder communications.
