How It All Began

At Vastuullisuuspankki, we repeatedly noticed the same challenge: SMEs wanted to take a systematic approach to sustainability, but implementing ESG reporting and sustainability standards felt complicated, heavy, and even impossible. Something clearer and more practical was needed.

Ilkka Sillanpää and Henrik Salmela decided to take action. Ilkka brought extensive experience building management systems and sustainability processes across different industries. Henrik contributed software development expertise and a fresh perspective on how digitizing sustainability reporting could genuinely simplify everyday work. They wanted to merge expert work and software into one clear solution tailored for SMEs.

Toni Järveläinen joined the team, bringing long experience helping companies develop sales and customer relations. Toni understood the crucial role that systematic sustainability work plays in a company’s competitiveness – and how, when properly structured, it can support strategic decision-making and stakeholder communication.
